If you do not receive a real estate tax bill, it is your responsibility to contact the appropriate tax office to receive a copy. If your taxes are in escrow with a mortgage company or bank, it is your responsibility to forward a copy to them for payment. If a receipt is desired, you must send a self-addressed, stamped envelope when payment is made.

Earned Income Tax The Borough and School District share a 1% tax on earned income. This tax is paid to the Lancaster County Tax Collection Bureau through payroll deductions and direct payment.

Reporting Street Lights

To report a street light out or broken, call the Borough Office at 859-1600.  If possible have the pole numbers when you call as this will speed up the repair time.

Yard Sales

A permit is required for yard sales.  The permit is $ 5.00 and includes 5 signs.  The Borough ordinance allows 2 one-day sales or 1 two-day sale per year.  SIGNS MUST BE REMOVED WITHIN 24 HOURS OF SALE.
